Know the procedures of the ANT that have been suspended since March 9
On March 9, the National Transit Agency (ANT) in Ecuador will reactivate over 80% of its procedures nationwide, though several services will still not be available.
Starting from March 9, Ecuador's National Transit Agency (ANT) will resume more than 80% of its services across its national offices. While this is a significant step towards normalizing service after previous suspensions, not all processes will be available. Certain agencies, particularly in Cayambe and MejΓa, will continue to be non-operational, highlighting ongoing challenges in fully restoring transit services.
Among the services that will remain unavailable are data updates and initial or renewal of driving licenses. These specific procedures are currently undergoing technical testing and requirements validation, which the ANT anticipates will conclude by March 13. This careful approach aims to ensure that all systems are adequately prepared before reintroducing these critical services to the public.
Additionally, the ANT has announced an extension until June 30, 2026, for the validity and use of documents affected by the suspension. This extension is intended to alleviate some pressure on users who rely on these services while the agency completes the necessary evaluations and repairs to its operations, ensuring a smoother transition back to full functionality.
