House Contains Pill Drug Manufacturing Machine... Foreign Suspect Detained and Transferred
A foreign suspect has been detained after being found to manufacture and distribute pill form drugs using a compression machine at home in Korea.
A foreign national, referred to as A, was recently transferred to prosecution by the Gangdong Police in Seoul for allegedly manufacturing and distributing drugs in pill form, including methamphetamine and MDMA, using a compression machine at his residence. Authorities reported that A had set up this equipment in his home in Busan and started the illicit operation at the end of January, collaborating with accomplices abroad to generate income.
Investigations revealed that A mixed powdered drug substances in specific ratios to produce pills and used a 'throwing' method for discreet distribution, where he would hide the drugs at pre-arranged locations for buyers to pick up after payment. The police began their investigation after receiving reports of drug distribution crimes, which led to A's arrest after tracking his movements.
In his residence, police confiscated not only the pill compression machine but also a total of 3.3 kilograms of drugs, including 4000 pills weighing a total of 2 kilograms and 1.3 kilograms of powder. Ongoing investigations will focus on the pathways of distribution and further analysis of the seized drugs and equipment, indicating a significant effort by law enforcement to combat drug-related crimes in the area.
