VIDEO: Drug Manufacturers Arrested in Pierīga with Special Forces Involvement

The State Police in Pierīga arrested a group of three individuals involved in the illegal production and distribution of narcotics.

In Pierīga, Latvia, the State Police have executed nine search warrants leading to the arrest of a three-member organized group involved in the storage, distribution, and manufacture of narcotic substances. During these operations, authorities confiscated over 25 kilograms of narcotics, along with 50 liters of amphetamine oil, cash, three vehicles, and various other items. A criminal case has been initiated in connection with this operation, and all three individuals have been placed in custody as a precautionary measure.

The investigation, which started in February of this year, focused on the illegal possession and trafficking of narcotic substances. Through their inquiries, police identified that this organized group was engaged in the illegal storage and distribution of drugs like cocaine, marijuana, amphetamine, mephedrone, and MDMA tablets. Furthermore, they were manufacturing amphetamine at home, highlighting the group's significant involvement in drug production within Latvia.

The operation was carried out by the Criminal Police Division of the Rīga Regional Department in collaboration with the Special Tasks Battalion and Anti-Drug unit. This significant law enforcement effort underscores the ongoing challenges Latvia faces with drug trafficking and the police's commitment to combating organized crime associated with narcotic drugs.
