Gol announces flights to Paris and Lisbon and a new business class

Gol has announced three new international routes to Paris, Lisbon, and Orlando, with plans to use new Airbus A330-900 aircraft for these services.

Brazilian airline Gol has revealed plans to launch three new international routes connecting Rio de Janeiro's Galeão airport to Paris, Lisbon, and Orlando in the USA. This announcement, made on Thursday, aligns with the airline's strategy to expand its network, positioning Galeão as a new hub for their international operations. The new routes follow the recent introduction of a flight to New York, indicating Gol's increasing commitment to international connectivity.

The new Airbus A330-900 aircraft, which are set to be incorporated into Gol's fleet, are designed to enhance service quality on these long-haul flights. With a capacity of over 290 seats and featuring a dual aisle, the A330-900 will include a business class cabin, catering to the demands of travelers seeking comfort on long-distance journeys. The progressive acquisition of these aircraft, with deliveries expected between 2026 and 2027, demonstrates Gol's investment in modernizing its fleet as it expands its services.

The inaugural flight from Rio to Lisbon is scheduled to start on September 16, with plans for four weekly round-trip flights initially. This service will not only boost tourism between Brazil and Europe but also provide more options for businessmen and travelers alike, enhancing both leisure and business travel opportunities between the regions.
