EasyJet launches new £26 flights to one of Europe's most popular cities

EasyJet has introduced new routes to Lisbon from the UK, with one-way flights starting at £26, aiming to attract travelers to this popular city and its nearby beach destinations.

Budget airline EasyJet is expanding its offerings by launching new routes to Lisbon, Portugal, which has been voted as Europe’s Leading City Break Destination at the 2025 World Travel Awards. Starting in spring, travelers will be able to enjoy direct flights from Glasgow beginning on March 29, from Liverpool on March 31, and a seasonal service from Newcastle between June 22 and August 28, with fares starting as low as £26 one way.

Lisbon not only boasts a rich array of cultural and historic attractions but also serves as a gateway to stunning coastal areas just a short distance away. With temperatures in March and April averaging around 20C, it becomes an appealing spring getaway for tourists looking to blend city exploration with beach relaxation. The flight duration is under three hours, making it an ideal option for quick city breaks, particularly from cities in the UK.

The introduction of these new routes is likely to bolster tourism in Lisbon as well as provide an affordable travel option for many UK residents. EasyJet's initiative reflects the increasing demand for budget-friendly travel options to popular European destinations, and aligns with the broader trend of travelers seeking out both urban experiences and natural beauty in their vacation plans.
