The Federal University of Mato Grosso do Sul (UFMS) is currently accepting registrations for various arts courses at its School of Arts for the upcoming first semester of 2026. Students can apply to enroll in programs focusing on visual arts, dance, theater, and music, with the registration period ending this Monday (the 16th). The initiative aims to provide diverse educational opportunities to the community and foster the arts in the region.
To finalize their applications, potential students are required to pay a semester fee of R$ 250. However, students from the Municipal Education Network (REME) and those at UFMS facing socioeconomic vulnerabilities have the option to apply for a fee waiver until Friday (the 13th). In total, there are 1,100 spots available across several disciplines, though the actual number of openings is subject to the specific courses selected during registration.
Among the offerings, the School of Music boasts over 400 vacancies across 20 different classes, catering to individuals of all ages. Courses include options for violin, guitar, viola caipira, and flute, among others. This push for enrollment reflects the university's commitment to promoting the arts and enriching cultural education within the community, as it provides essential skills and experiences to aspiring artists and performers.
