The Port Authority of Santos reported a 22.3% increase in recurring profit for 2025, reaching R$ 938.9 million.
The Port Authority of Santos (APS) concluded 2025 with a recurring profit of R$ 938.9 million, marking a substantial 22.3% increase compared to the previous year. This figure reflects the operational strength of the port, which has seen operations rise by 74.6% since 2023. The reported EBITDA for the last year stood at R$ 1 billion, resulting in a margin of 59.1%, while the recurring net margin reached R$ 54.5%, culminating in a net profit of R$ 724.6 million.
Associated with the Ministry of Ports and Airports, the APS is also engaged in significant infrastructure projects projected for 2026, including the highly anticipated Santos-Guarujá Tunnel. This project is a key component of the new Growth Acceleration Program (PAC) initiated by President Lula's government. The tunnel construction has been awarded to the Portuguese company Mota-Engil, which won the bid held in September 2025. Subsequently, they will lead a consortium responsible for maintaining Petrobrás platforms in the region.
The financial performance and ambitious infrastructure plans suggest a positive outlook for the Port of Santos, highlighting its pivotal role in Brazil's economic development and logistics infrastructure. As such, APS appears well-positioned to continue driving growth while enhancing its operational capabilities to meet increasing demands.
