NIA Raids in Several Locations in Jammu and Kashmir, Investigation into Weapon and Grenade Seizures Intensifies
The NIA carried out raids in multiple locations in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir in connection with an investigation into a terrorist conspiracy involving weapon and explosive recoveries.
On Thursday, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) conducted raids at various locations in Poonch district, Jammu and Kashmir. This operation is linked to an investigation into a terrorist conspiracy that has raised alarms after weapons and ammunition were seized from two individuals in 2024. Officials are working to unravel the entire network behind the conspiracy and the roles of those involved.
The NIA team's search operations focused particularly on the Mohalla Khorinar and Hari-Suranakot areas. According to officials, these raids targeted specific sites suspected of being linked to terrorist activities. The aim was to uncover houses and bases connected to the detected network, in order to identify potential associates and collaborators in this conspiracy.
This enforcement action correlates with a previous case where security agencies had seized a pistol and two grenades from two individuals in the vicinity of Poonch near the border in 2024. The investigation has highlighted an organized effort that may have implications for security in the region, as authorities seek to dismantle any terrorist networks that might threaten stability in Jammu and Kashmir.
