J-K: Police Action Against Terrorism, Property of Pakistan-Based Handler Seized

The Jammu and Kashmir police seized the property of Pakistan-based terrorist handler Swara Din in a significant operation against terrorist networks operating from across the border.

On February 24, the Kathua police in Jammu and Kashmir conducted a major operation against a terrorist network operating from Pakistan, resulting in the seizure of property belonging to terrorist handler Swara Din, also known as Swaru. The operation, led by SSP Kathua Mohita Sharma, was executed in compliance with the orders of the third additional sessions court in Jammu, reflecting a robust response to threats from across the border.

Swara Din, a resident of Bhatori in Lohai Malhar, has been conducting anti-India activities from Pakistan and has been declared a 'declared offender' by the honorable court due to his continued evasion of legal proceedings. This operation also highlights the ongoing security challenges faced by the region, exacerbated by the involvement of individuals like Din who have fled to Pakistan-occupied territories but continue to impact Indian sovereignty and security.

The seizure of 7.5 marla of land in the Lohai Malhar tehsil underscores the law enforcement agencies' commitment to dismantling the networks that threaten national security. Despite previous attempts to apprehend Swara Din, he has managed to evade capture, emphasizing the complexities involved in counter-terror operations and the need for robust legal frameworks such as the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) that allow for proactive measures against those posing risks to national integrity.
