Delhi Blast: Major Action by NIA, 2 Terror Operatives Arrested, Total 11 Arrested So Far

The NIA has arrested two terror operatives linked to the Delhi blast, bringing the total number of arrests to 11.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has apprehended two individuals involved in the conspiracy behind the blast in the Red Fort area of Delhi, raising the total arrests related to the case to 11. The arrested operatives have been identified as Zamir Ahmad Ahangar from Ganderbal and Tufail Ahmad Bhatt from Srinagar, both of whom are accused of actively participating in the plot for the attack. They are alleged to have supplied arms to the main accused in the case, who has been linked to the terrorist organization Ansar Ghazwat-ul-Hind.

The investigation revealed that both Zamir and Tufail played significant roles as active underground workers for the terrorist organization. The blast, which occurred on November 10 last year, resulted in the deaths of 11 individuals and left many others injured. The main accused, Umar Lone Nabi, was reportedly killed in the incident and has been deemed the mastermind behind the deadly attack. This adds urgency to the efforts of the NIA and local police to dismantle the broader network associated with this act of terrorism.

In collaboration with the Jammu and Kashmir Police, Haryana Police, and Delhi Police, the NIA is committed to uncovering the full extent of the conspiracy. The ongoing investigation aims to track the connections of Zamir and Tufail to other terror activities, underscoring the seriousness of the threat posed by such networks. These recent arrests signify a significant step in the fight against terrorism in the region, highlighting the collaborative approach of various law enforcement agencies in addressing security concerns.
