The São Paulo metro's Line 17-gold is slated to begin limited operations by the end of March, linking Morumbi to Congonhas airport, with an official inauguration on the calendar.
Line 17-gold of São Paulo's metro system is projected to begin operations under limited hours by the end of March, according to Governor Tarcísio de Freitas during the inauguration of a new operations control center this week. Initially, trains will connect seven out of eight planned stations, omitting the Washington Luís station until a later stage. This line, long anticipated since its promise for the 2014 World Cup, is now being delivered close to the upcoming 2026 World Cup.
