Two men died after suffering electric shocks in the interior of Ceará, Brazil, with investigations now underway by authorities.

In a tragic series of incidents in the interior of Ceará, Brazil, two men lost their lives due to electric shocks. The first victim, Jansen Custódio, a 39-year-old man, was electrocuted at a gas station in Capistrano. Eyewitness footage captured him on the roof of an Auto Center within the gas station at the moment of the accident, highlighting the dangers associated with electrical installations in public places.

Emergency services were promptly called to the scene, where they initiated resuscitation efforts. The Mobile Emergency Service (Samu) teams employed multiple cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) maneuvers and used an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) in a desperate attempt to save his life. Despite these efforts, Jansen Custódio succumbed to his injuries after being transported to the Municipal Hospital of Capistrano.

The second incident also occurred in the neighboring municipality of Iguatu, prompting authorities to investigate the circumstances surrounding both fatalities, reflecting a growing concern over safety standards and electrical infrastructure in the region. Local authorities are expected to take measures to prevent similar tragedies in the future, as these incidents underscore the critical need for enhanced electrical safety regulations in public and commercial areas.
