The Ram Kitchen in Ayodhya has not closed due to a shortage of LPG; Akhilesh attacked BJP

Despite initial reports of closure due to fuel shortages, the Ram Kitchen in Ayodhya continues to operate using alternative means.

The ongoing conflict in the Middle East has started affecting India, particularly in the city of Ayodhya where the Ram Kitchen and Sita Kitchen are facing operational difficulties due to reduced supply of LPG cylinders. Earlier reports suggested that the Ram Kitchen had been shut down due to this fuel shortage. However, the management later clarified that the kitchen remains operational and is utilizing alternative resources to continue serving meals.

Daily, the Ram Kitchen prepares food for a large number of devotees and needy individuals. The current shortage of gas supply has been confirmed by those associated with the kitchen, who reported difficulties in procuring sufficient fuel from gas agencies. Despite these challenges, the head of Ram Kitchen, Pankaj Maharaj, stated that the kitchen was operational as recently as Tuesday afternoon and expressed hope that normal fuel supply could restore full-scale meal distribution soon.

The situation highlights the impact of external geopolitical events on local welfare initiatives in India. It raises concerns over reliance on specific fuel supplies for essential services, and the community’s resilience in managing these disruptions is vital to continue supporting vulnerable populations in Ayodhya amidst larger crises.
