'The cylinder of BJP's good days is empty', Akhilesh lashes out at LPG shortage
Akhilesh Yadav criticizes the BJP government for the shortage of LPG cylinders, stating that the distribution system has collapsed.
Akhilesh Yadav, the leader of the Samajwadi Party, has launched a sharp critique against the BJP government regarding the ongoing shortage of LPG cylinders in India. He metaphorically claimed that the 'cylinder of BJP's good days' has run dry, emphasizing the detrimental state of the gas distribution system that has left many consumers frustrated. Yadav pointed out that citizens are forced to wait in long queues at gas agencies, yet they cannot receive cylinders without a Delivery Authentication Code (DAC), which is often unmanageable due to server issues faced by gas companies.
He insisted that the chaos surrounding the LPG distribution should be the government’s responsibility, highlighting how consumers are suffering because of systemic failures. Yadav also alleged that some people are denied cylinders even after presenting old passbooks, which he described as inhumane. He further mentioned that children and elderly individuals in many households are going hungry due to the unavailability of cooking gas, stressing the dire impacts of this crisis on the vulnerable sections of society.
Moreover, he pointed to the black market for gas, suggesting that some individuals might be profiting from the crisis, which adds to the population's grievances against the ruling government. This situation could have significant political implications, especially with elections approaching, as it may influence public sentiment towards the BJP's governance and its claims of providing better services to the citizens.
