Two criminals from the wanted Chenu gang arrested in a robbery worth 7 million
Delhi police arrested two criminals linked to the notorious Chenu gang, who were wanted in a robbery case involving jewelry worth 7 million INR.
The Delhi police have apprehended two associates of the infamous Chenu gang, both of whom were wanted in connection with a significant jewelry theft in Rajasthan amounting to approximately 7 million INR. The arrested individuals were identified as 35-year-old Rashid, alias Sonu, and 30-year-old Fahim, alias Danny. Rashid's criminal record boasts over 21 cases already filed against him, indicating a history of criminal activity. Both men are reported to have recently become active in an interstate gang before forming alliances with the Chenu gang to carry out their illegal acts.
On March 5, police received a tip-off suggesting that members of the Chenu gang were planning a major criminal act in the area. In response, the police increased surveillance and set up a trap to capture the gang members. During the night of March 5-6, police executed their strategy by encircling an area where they spotted two suspects in a car. Upon noticing the police, the suspects attempted to flee but were swiftly apprehended by the law enforcement team, who were well-prepared for such a scenario.
This arrest not only demonstrates the diligence of the Delhi police in tackling organized crime but also raises concerns about the rising activity of inter-state gangs involved in serious criminal offenses. The successful operation underscores the importance of community intelligence in combating crime, as prompt information led to the capture of these dangerous criminals before they could execute their planned offenses.
