Two men in Brazil have been indicted for armed robbery and kidnapping after stealing R$ 100,000 and several mobile phones from a store in Pitangui.

In Pitangui, Brazil, two men aged 21 and 23 have been indicted by the Civil Police for robbing a cell phone store, as well as for restricting the victims' liberty and using firearms. The robbery occurred on January 9, during which the assailants, armed and masked, entered the store and threatened four individuals, forcing them to remain confined in a small room while one of the suspects gathered the goods.

The robbery was meticulously planned, with the suspects traveling approximately 70 kilometers from the town of Itaúna to target the store in the Gameleira neighborhood. The duo arrived on a motorcycle, which they parked outside the establishment. In total, the thieves made off with around 35 mobile phones and a staggering R$ 100,000 in cash. After the robbery, they managed to escape, leaving the victims shaken but unharmed.

Investigations led to the indictment of the suspects; however, one of them was captured during the ongoing inquiry by the police. This case highlights growing concerns over violent crime in the region, prompting discussions about safety and security measures in local businesses and neighborhoods.
