Trio arrested for stealing R$ 11,000 from a customer leaving a pharmacy in Presidente Prudente

Three men were arrested in Brazil after robbing a customer of R$ 11,000 and a bag containing valuable items outside a pharmacy.

In Presidente Prudente, Brazil, three men aged between 22 and 27 were apprehended after allegedly robbing a customer who was leaving a pharmacy. The incident occurred in the morning, around 8 AM, on Avenida Manoel Goulart, where the suspects approached a 39-year-old victim as he was getting into his car. The police reported that the trio first attempted to break into another vehicle before successfully intimidating the victim by simulating a weapon and demanding he exit his car.

After forcing the victim out, the assailants attempted to steal his car but were unable to start it due to the vehicle's keyless ignition system. Consequently, they opted to seize the victim's bag, which contained R$ 11,000 in cash along with other valuables. The assailants fled the scene on foot after the theft. Authorities reported that the suspects were caught shortly thereafter, highlighting the quick response of local law enforcement in addressing such crimes.

This incident raises concerns about public safety in urban areas, particularly related to theft and violent crime outside commercial establishments such as pharmacies. The swift action of the police not only led to the arrest of the suspects but also serves as a reminder of the importance of vigilance for individuals when leaving high-traffic areas, especially with cash or valuables in hand.
