The 48th Haanja marathon concluded the Estoloppeti series with 7800 participants, celebrating a winter season filled with snow and successful ski events.

The recently held 48th Haanja marathon marked the conclusion of the Estoloppeti ski series, which saw a participation of 7800 skiing enthusiasts alongside various side events. The ongoing 52nd Tartu marathon's virtual race is expected to attract about 800 additional participants. According to Kunnar Karu, the head of the Estoloppeti ski series, the winter has been satisfactory with enough snow and cold weather, enabling all events to take place despite current climate challenges.

Karu emphasized the attractiveness of this year's program, praising the enthusiasm of the marathon organizers. New events were added to the program, successfully appealing to the ski audience. Notably, the Alutaguse Night Ride was sold out, and the number of participants in the Kõrvemaa Night Ride at the Tallinn ski marathon exceeded predictions. The Tartu marathon's unique events provided options for a wide range of tastes, ultimately putting a beautiful conclusion on the ski winter with the inaugural Haanja free marathon.
