9 out of 10 say they do not regret voting for Lula or Bolsonaro in 2022, says Datafolha
A recent Datafolha survey reveals that 90% of respondents do not regret their votes for either Lula or Bolsonaro in the 2022 presidential elections.
A new survey conducted by Datafolha, released on Monday, indicates that an overwhelming 90% of respondents do not regret casting their votes for either Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva or Jair Bolsonaro during the 2022 Brazilian presidential elections. The survey involved 2,004 participants aged 16 and older from 137 municipalities, conducted between March 3 and 5, with a margin of error of 2 percentage points and a confidence level of 95%. When asked about their feelings regarding their vote, only 10% admitted to regretting their decision, while the vast majority, 90%, expressed satisfaction with their choice.
The survey's findings reveal that both Lula, representing the Workers' Party, and Bolsonaro from the Liberal Party, enjoy substantial support from their voters even months after the election. Lula won the highly contested election in 2022, securing 50.9% of the votes against Bolsonaro's 49.1%. This data indicates that the electoral landscape remains stable, with voters feeling committed to their choices despite the ongoing political debates and challenges both leaders face.
Furthermore, the results are consistent across both groups of supporters, suggesting that the electoral outcomes have fostered a sense of loyalty among voters. Such findings could have significant implications for future elections and political strategies as both leaders aim to navigate a divided political landscape, where voter sentiments may impact decision-making processes in the government moving forward.
