The town square in Klaipeda district will change unrecognizably

The reconstruction of a town square in the Klaipeda district will create a modern public space intended for community gatherings and events.

The town square in Veiviržėnai, located in the Klaipeda district of Lithuania, is set to undergo a major reconstruction by UAB 'Tecnibo,' with technical supervision by MB 'Techniks.' The project, which has a contract value of 174,240 euros (including VAT), aims to transform the square into a modern and attractive public space, fostering community interaction and enhancing the town's public areas. As mentioned by Vice Mayor Violeta Riaukienė, this square will serve as a vital meeting place for the local community and will support various activities organized by the cultural center in the area.

The planned square will cover approximately 1,094 square meters and is designed to be multifunctional, capable of hosting town festivals, markets, concerts, and community gatherings. It will also provide a comfortable space for local residents to spend their time daily. The reconstruction will feature new hard surfaces, specifically a paving with concrete bricks, which will ensure ease of movement for pedestrians. This update is expected to enhance the aesthetic appeal and practicality of the area, encouraging more community engagement and outdoor activities.

Overall, the initiative demonstrates a commitment to improving public spaces within the town and highlights the importance of community-centric development. Such projects can significantly contribute to a sense of belonging and enhance the quality of life for residents by providing them with well-designed venues for social interaction and cultural expression.
