Accident on BR-365 kills family and elderly man in collision near Coromandel junction

A serious accident on BR-365 resulted in the deaths of four individuals, including three members of the same family, and left two others injured.

On the night of Sunday, October 8, a severe traffic accident on BR-365 near the Coromandel junction in the Alto Paranaíba region led to the deaths of four people and injured two others. The incident occurred between a Fiat Palio and a Chevrolet Celta, prompting responses from the Fire Department, Mobile Emergency Care Service (Samu), and the Federal Highway Police (PRF). Emergency teams arrived at the scene shortly after 10 PM to address the aftermath of the collision.

The collision involved six individuals across the two vehicles, but unfortunately, four of them succumbed to their injuries at the scene. The victims were identified as Sebastião Soares de Souza, 78; Ronaldo Alves dos Santos, 49; Maicon William Alcântara dos Santos, 8; and Flávia de Cássia Alcântara Gomes, a family member. The accident shocked the local community, particularly as it involved a family unit, emphasizing the tragic nature of such incidents on Brazilian highways.
