On the morning of Monday, October 16, a tragic accident occurred on BR-259 in Governador Valadares, claiming the lives of four family members from Itabirinha, Minas Gerais. The deceased included Tereza Clara Ferreira, 64, Nilton Maurílio Pires, 35, Vanilda Ferreira Teixeira, 49, and Regina Clara Ferreira Pires. These individuals were related to an 11-year-old boy who survived the crash, being his father, mother, grandmother, and aunt. Reports indicate that the family had been on a visit to their relatives before returning to their home in Maricá, Rio de Janeiro.
