This decline was prominent in both the private and public sectors, with job openings in the private sector decreasing by approximately 1,200 or 10.2%, while the public sector witnessed a more considerable drop of around 1,800 or 16.7%. Overall, only 2.2% of all positions in Latvia, combining both filled and vacant roles, were open, highlighting the challenges in the labor market.
