Women's Health Center Campaign Offers Mammograms Without a Medical Referral in Boa Vista

The Women's Health Reference Center in Boa Vista is providing free mammograms without requiring a prior medical referral as part of the 'March Lilac' campaign to prevent cervical cancer.

Starting from March 9 to March 13, the Women's Health Reference Center in Boa Vista is conducting a campaign to offer 24 mammogram tests daily without the need for a medical referral. This initiative is part of the 'March Lilac' campaign, aimed at raising awareness and preventing cervical cancer. The center will allocate 12 slots for mammograms in the morning and another 12 in the afternoon.

For women wishing to take advantage of this service, they must visit the center located at Av. Capitão Júlio Bezerra, nº 1632, in the Aparecida neighborhood, and bring specific documentation including an ID, CPF, SUS card, and proof of residence. The center's staff will handle patient triage and referrals on-site, facilitating access to much-needed health services for the community.

In addition to mammogram services, the unit is also providing health consultations with professionals such as psychologists, nutritionists, nurses, and physiotherapists. This comprehensive approach not only focuses on early detection of breast cancer through mammograms but also aims to address broader health issues, highlighting the importance of preventive care in women's health.
