From Friday, residents of Macapá will have access to free health consultations and exams through the 'Carreta Delas' program. This initiative is particularly focused on women's health but is available to the entire population. It includes a range of services aimed at promoting health education and prevention, addressing concerns such as cancer prevention, family planning, and chronic disease management, including hypertension and diabetes.

The services will be available until March 8 at the Department of Transit of Amapá (Detran-AP) located in the São Lázaro neighborhood in northern Macapá. The program provides various laboratory tests, imaging exams, and consultations with specialists such as general practitioners and gynecologists, emphasizing the importance of regular health check-ups, especially for women.

This initiative illustrates a community-focused approach to healthcare, aiming to increase access to necessary medical services while raising awareness of health issues that affect the population. By providing these services for free, the program intends to reduce barriers to healthcare access and ensure that residents can receive timely medical care.
