Myongji University Electronics Students Publish Papers in SCIE and Join LG Electronics and ASML
Two undergraduate students from Myongji University's Department of Electronics have published articles in international academic journals and are set to join global companies LG Electronics and ASML after graduation.
Two undergraduate students from Myongji University’s Department of Electronics, Ryu Jae-woong and Kim Min-jae, achieved the remarkable feat of having their research published in SCIE (Science Citation Index Expanded) international journals. Under the guidance of Professor Cho Il-hwan, they conducted research that culminated in the publication of two papers. Ryu’s works include papers focused on innovative designs in dynamic random-access memory technologies, positioned for publication in esteemed journals such as the Japanese Journal of Applied Physics and Semiconductor Science and Technology in 2025.
The significance of this achievement is underscored by the prospects each student has after graduation. Ryu Jae-woong is set to join LG Electronics’ research division, where he will focus on research in the semiconductor and electronics field, while Kim Min-jae has secured a position at ASML, a leading global semiconductor equipment company, after confirming his acceptance to join upon graduation in February 2026. Their upcoming employment signifies a successful transition from academic research to practical application in the technology industry.
