Rainbow's clients from the Middle East will all be back in Poland today

A total of 1,270 tourists who were in Oman, the UAE, and Jordan during attacks by Israel and the United States are being evacuated back to Poland.

The Polish travel agency Rainbow is facilitating the return of 1,270 tourists from various Middle Eastern countries, specifically Oman, the United Arab Emirates, and Jordan, due to the escalated conflict there. These tourists were in the region when the situation intensified and were transported to Muscat in Oman in order to catch charter flights back to Poland. The last group of these tourists is scheduled to land in Katowice after 11 PM, completing the agency’s evacuation efforts.

Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski stated that a total of 7,160 Polish citizens have already returned from the Middle East amid the ongoing tumultuous events that have been impacting the safety of travelers. With the situation evolving since February 28, there have been substantial changes in air traffic within the region, creating difficulties for those attempting to return. Consequently, the immediate focus for Rainbow and Polish authorities has been ensuring the safety of their citizens abroad and facilitating their safe passage back home.

In light of these developments, the Polish government has prioritized its citizens' safety over tourism operations in the region, emphasizing the need to provide assistance to those still present in the Middle East. Minister of Sport and Tourism Jakub Żakowski highlighted these efforts, assuring that measures are in place to protect Polish tourists and ensure their repatriation under challenging circumstances.
