Poles are returning from the Middle East. More and more planes are landing at Polish airports

Poland is coordinating evacuations for citizens in the Middle East, particularly in Oman, where military flights are being organized to assist those in need due to health issues.

In response to the current situation in the Middle East, the Polish government has initiated evacuation efforts for its citizens, particularly targeting those in Oman. Two military Boeing 737 aircraft have been dispatched from Warsaw to facilitate the urgent transport of Polish nationals who require emergency medical evacuations. The Polish consular services have identified around 110 individuals in critical need of assistance, with efforts underway to ensure their safe return home.

As part of the evacuation process, a total of ten thousand Polish citizens are reported to be residing in the United Arab Emirates and Oman, with over a hundred requiring special medical flights coordinated by the Polish military. The spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Maciej Wewiรณr, noted that some of these individuals have already been transported to Oman from Dubai via several bus trips to facilitate their boarding on the military flights.

The ongoing evacuations are not just limited to the current circumstances but indicate a broader commitment from the Polish government to ensure the safety and well-being of its citizens abroad. With additional flights planned to return other Polish nationals from Oman, the situation remains dynamic as the government responds to the evolving needs of its citizens caught in the midst of a crisis.
