A special coordination team in Poland has been actively working to facilitate the evacuation of Polish citizens from Middle Eastern countries affected by military actions involving Israel and the United States against Iran and Hamas in Lebanon. This team includes representatives from various ministries such as Foreign Affairs, Sports and Tourism, Defense, and Infrastructure, as well as Polish Airlines and the Polish Chamber of Tourism. The team is also collaborating remotely with leaders of diplomatic missions.

Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski and Minister of Sports and Tourism Jakub Rutnicki held a press briefing today to update on the ongoing efforts to bring back Polish citizens. As per the latest reports from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a total of 7028 Poles have successfully returned to Poland since the onset of the conflict in the Middle East, with 38 flights facilitating their return. However, the ministry did not specify if this figure fully accounts for any ongoing airlifts or special evacuation missions.

As the situation in the Middle East continues to evolve, the Polish government remains committed to the safety and return of its citizens. Additional evacuations are expected in the coming days as the conflict unfolds, and the government urges Polish citizens in the region to stay connected and follow the guidelines issued through diplomatic channels.
