Levandi, showing record level, won first place in Oslo, Leonova third

Estonian figure skater Arlet Levandi won first place at the Sonja Heine Trophy in Oslo with outstanding performances, while Olesja Leonova secured third place.

Arlet Levandi, a talented 20-year-old figure skater from Estonia, showcased her skills at the prestigious Sonja Heine Trophy held in Oslo, Norway. She delivered two exceptional programs, achieving remarkable scores that led her to secure first place in the competition. In the short program, Levandi earned 83.47 points, outpacing her nearest rival by over 13 points. Her performances in both the short and free skates culminated in a total of 244.64 points, putting her almost 27 points ahead of French skater Samy Hammi, who finished in second place.

Levandi's results mark personal bests for her, reflecting her growth and prowess on the ice. However, it's important to note that while these scores are impressive, they do not qualify as official records according to the International Skating Union (ISU), as only results from designated Challenger Series events, Grand Prix stages, or championships are recognized as records. Levandi recorded a short program personal best of 77.45 points and a free skate score of 152.47 points, further emphasizing her potential in the figure skating world.

Olesja Leonova also showcased strong performances, finishing in third place. Having scored 49.09 points in her short program, she advanced to the free skate competition ranked fifth and improved her standing significantly. Levandi's strong showing in Oslo not only highlights her individual achievements but also raises the profile of Estonian figure skating on the international stage, signaling a bright future for both her and her fellow competitors.
