The vehicle was reported to be traveling from Montes Claros to Capitão Enéas when the fire broke out. When the firefighters arrived, the vehicle was already engulfed in flames, so their first priority was to contain the blaze.
Firefighters utilized personal protective equipment and firefighting techniques to control and extinguish the fire completely. Following the extinguishing of the flames, they proceeded to cool down the vehicle to prevent any reignition of the fire. Additionally, the flames had spread to the vegetation alongside the highway, which needed to be managed to prevent further risks.
The Federal Highway Police (PRF) arrived at the scene to document the incident, manage traffic, and assist with the removal of the burnt vehicle using a tow truck. This incident emphasizes the importance of quick emergency response in preventing injuries and managing traffic disruption on highways, particularly in rural areas such as those found in Minas Gerais.
