After securing the lead during the short program, Nakata delivered an exceptional free skate, amassing 178.96 points and a total of 268.47 points across both segments of the competition. This victory marks Nakata's second consecutive championship win. In the free skate, fellow Japanese skater Taiga Nishino finished strongly in second place in that segment, raising his overall score to 241.23 points, which allowed him to climb from fourth to third place in the final standings. South Korean Min-Kyu Seo took the silver medal with a total of 243.91 points, illustrating the competitive nature of the event, which featured strong performances from Asian competitors. Despite the lack of representation from Estonia in the menβs singles event, with local skaters Vladislav Churakov and Ilya Nesterov finishing in 31st and 40th place respectively, the championships were highlighted by the dominance of Japanese figure skating. With both Nakata and Nishino on the podium, the event showcased the rising talent in the sport from Japan.
