WATCH LIVE | Men’s Junior World Champion to be determined at Tondiraba Hall

The live broadcast of the Men's Junior World Figure Skating Championship, taking place in Tallinn at Tondiraba Hall, commences today with the men's free skate.

Today, at Tondiraba Hall in Tallinn, the live broadcast of the Men's Junior World Figure Skating Championship begins at 18:15 local time. The event will showcase the men's free skate segment, with commentary provided by Anu Säärits and Liina-Grete Lilender on ERR's sports portal and ETV+. The broadcast will run from 18:15 to 19:55 and will resume at 20:15 until 22:05.

In the men's singles free skate segment, 24 skaters will perform, but unfortunately, Estonia will not be represented in this round. Vladislav Churakov finished in 31st place and Ilya Nesterov in 40th place in the preceding short program, which means they did not advance to the free skate. This culmination of the event focuses mostly on top skaters from Asia, with Japan's Rio Nakata leading the standings with a score of 89.51 points, followed closely by South Korea's Seo Min-kyu and several other Japanese skaters.

This championship showcases the highest level of junior figure skating globally, and the dominance of Asian athletes in the standings reflects their growing prominence in the sport. With the departure of local favorites, the focus has shifted to international competition, where skaters are competing not only for titles but also for recognition on the global stage.
