This warning comes from Procurador-Geral Eduardo CΓ΄rtes, who has reported that the spending recorded for 2026 has already surpassed the total expenses of the previous year. The current data shows that expenditure on festivals amounts to R$ 415 million across 70 municipalities for 2026, compared to R$ 235 million for the entirety of 2025, which was already considered high at the time.
