A technical note has been announced for financial control of public resources spent on festivities in Sergipe, Brazil.
On October 10, 2023, a technical note was announced aimed at consumer protection regarding the financial management of public resources used for party celebrations in the state of Sergipe, Brazil. This initiative marks the first collaboration among the State Court of Accounts (TCE), the Public Ministry of Accounts (MPC), and the State Public Ministry (MPE) in the creation of such guidelines. The note, which is yet to be released publicly, will initially be presented to the Federation of Municipalities of the State of Sergipe (FAMES). The note aims to provide clear benchmarks and warning signs rather than setting hard limits on spending.
