Estonian ice dance pair did not qualify for the free dance at junior world championships
Ksenia Sipunova and Miron Korjagin from Estonia placed 22nd in the junior ice dance world championships and did not qualify for the free dance.
At the junior world ice skating championships held in Tallinn, Estonian ice dance pair Ksenia Sipunova and Miron Korjagin finished in 22nd place, failing to qualify for the free dance. Their rhythm dance performance, themed on tunes from the 90s, earned them a score of 45.88 points, which was their best result of the season. Unfortunately, they needed to be among the top twenty pairs to advance to the free dance round.
After the competition, Sipunova expressed gratitude for the local audience's support, noting that she could hear the crowd cheering during their performance. In contrast, Korjagin felt dissatisfied with their technical execution and believed they could have performed better. Their coach, Lea Rand, offered a more optimistic perspective, stating that the pair delivered their best performance of the season despite not qualifying.
The current leaders after the rhythm dance are Hana Maria Aboian and Daniil Veselukhin from the USA, with a score of 66.45 points, closely followed by French dancers Ambre Perrier Gianesini with 66.31 points, indicating a competitive field at this year's championships.
