A 28-year-old railway technician in Kanpur was found dead by suicide in her rented room, with a note discovered by police.

A tragic incident has emerged from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, where a 28-year-old railway technician was found hanging in her rented accommodation. The local police recovered a diary containing a suicide note, though the reasons for the suicide remain unclear at this time as an investigation is underway. The deceased was identified as Neha Kumari, originally from Muzaffarpur, Bihar, and she was employed at the Fazalganj workshop as a technician.

Neha lived in a rented house in the Govind Nagar area of Kanpur with her coworker and roommate, Sonal, who also works as a technician in the railway sector. The situation unfolded on Thursday evening when Sonal returned home from work. Noticing that the door was locked from the inside and receiving no response after repeated knocking and phone calls, she became suspicious and reported the matter to the police and Neha's family.

Upon the police's arrival, they had to break down the door to access the room and discovered Neha’s body. The investigation is still ongoing, and while the police have found the suicide note, the contents and any contextual information have not been disclosed. This incident highlights pressing issues surrounding mental health and workplace stress, particularly within the demanding fields such as railway services in India.
