Free course helps improve service in the tourism and hotel sector
A free online course offered by the Brazil-Portugal Chamber of Commerce aims to enhance service quality in tourism and hospitality.
The Brazil-Portugal Chamber of Commerce in Goiás, in collaboration with the Hospitality and Tourism School of Coimbra, is launching a free course aimed at improving service standards in the tourism and hospitality industry. Entitled ‘Service for Excellence,’ the online course provides participants with an opportunity to gain international certification while enhancing their professional skills. With limited spaces available, it targets professionals, entrepreneurs, and managers in the service sector, underscoring the importance of high-quality customer service in tourism and hospitality.
Scheduled to take place from March 11 to March 20, with live sessions held between 10 AM to 1 PM, the course consists of a total of 12 hours of instruction. Joana Maria Ribeiro Pita Botelho, an expert with a background in Hotel Management and Marketing, will lead the training. Participants must actively engage in at least 90% of the course hours to be eligible for certification, which will empower them to achieve excellence in customer service.
This initiative reflects the ongoing efforts to enhance the skills of professionals in Brazil’s tourism sector, particularly as the industry seeks to recover and thrive post-pandemic. By investing in training and education, the Brazil-Portugal Chamber of Commerce aims to equip service providers with the necessary tools to improve their offerings, thereby enhancing the overall experience for tourists and guests in the hospitality sector.
