The QualificaTUR project has recently launched an initiative to offer 80 vacancies in professional qualification courses throughout the Sertão region of Pernambuco, Brazil. This program primarily targets the tourism sector, aimed at strengthening and enhancing professionals' skills in hospitality and related fields. The courses are offered free of charge, making them accessible to a broader audience, which is crucial for improving local employment opportunities in tourism-related fields.

Different courses are being scheduled across various locations, with specific courses tailored to meet the needs of the local tourism industry. For instance, in Belém do São Francisco, a course on becoming a waiter is set to occur from March 9 to March 20, while Afrânio will host a course on creating tourist itineraries from March 2 to March 13. Moreover, additional courses focusing on social media and marketing strategies for tourism are planned in Orocó, demonstrating a well-rounded approach to skill development across relevant areas.

The initiative not only aims to enhance employability for local residents but is also expected to boost the overall tourism sector in the Sertão, which has unique cultural and natural attractions.
