More than 100 new state defense and professional service soldiers have taken the oath

Over 100 new soldiers, including youths from the National Defense Service and professional service members, took their oath near the Freedom Monument in Latvia.

A ceremonial oath-taking event was held near the Freedom Monument in Latvia where 69 soldiers, who began their service with the National Armed Forces Headquarters Battalion on January 14, took their vows. Among them are 55 young recruits from the State Defense Service and 13 professional soldiers, accompanied by the National Guard Orchestra. Latvia's Defense Minister Andris Sprūds addressed the new soldiers, expressing gratitude for their courage and commitment to the patriotic mission of defending their nation, also acknowledging the support from their families.
