Latvian biathletes shone at the junior and youth world championships, bringing home a total of three medals, including a silver medal won by Rihards Lozbergs in the youth category. However, as the race progressed, they faced challenges during the shooting segments, leading to penalties that caused them to fall behind the top rankings. Ultimately, despite their early promise, both athletes struggled during the critical shooting sections, which affected their overall performance.
