ELTA: The 7 areas where services are being transferred to new postal agencies

The Hellenic Post is transforming its network to ensure flexible operations and efficient citizen service, beginning the second phase of transferring services to new postal agencies in March.

The Hellenic Post (ELTA) is implementing a restructuring plan aimed at creating a more efficient operational model that maintains a consistent presence in local communities while ensuring uninterrupted service to citizens. Following the successful transformation of the first 11 post offices, which completed recently, the postal services continue to operate smoothly with extended hours at new locations, enhancing daily community service. Mail and package deliveries are also proceeding at the same pace as before.

As part of this ongoing transformation, ELTA has announced the commencement of the second phase, involving the transfer of activities to a total of 30 locations throughout March. From this total, the initial seven will begin operations at new postal agencies or ELTA Courier offices, marking a significant step in modernizing the postal services available to the public. This move is expected to significantly improve accessibility for local citizens by providing more locations and greater service availability.

This restructuring effort comes at a time when the importance of efficient postal and courier services is growing in the digital age, where timely communication and the delivery of parcels are vital to businesses and communities alike. The changes implemented by ELTA reflect an adaptation to modern needs, ensuring that postal operations remain relevant and capable of meeting the demands of a changing society. By increasing the accessibility of their services, ELTA not only aims to maintain customer satisfaction but also to bolster its operational sustainability into the future.
