International Women's Day: Public Defender promotes citizenship action on Combu Island, in Belém
The Public Defender's Office in Pará is organizing a citizenship action event aimed at providing legal and documentation services to residents of Combu Island in Belém to commemorate International Women's Day.
On Saturday, March 7, the Public Defender's Office of the State of Pará (DPE-PA) will hold a citizenship action event on Combu Island, Belém, from 8 AM to 2 PM. This initiative is part of the celebrations for International Women's Day and will take place at the Municipal School of Santo Antônio, located in the Santo Antônio do Igarapé Piriquitaquara community. The event aims to empower local residents by providing them with access to important services that promote citizenship and legal rights.
During the event, residents will have the opportunity to receive various legal assistance services, including the issuance of documents like RG (identity card), CPF (individual taxpayer registry), and second copies of birth certificates. Additionally, the event will provide “Animal RG” issuance for pets (SinPatinhas), alongside educational resources regarding civil rights. Furthermore, the Defensoria will facilitate legal support related to protective measures, including initial and follow-up requests for protection orders, extensions, rent assistance, and notifications of non-compliance.
The action not only focuses on legal documentation and civic engagement but also addresses family law matters such as divorce, child support, custody arrangements, and the dissolution of stable unions. By bringing these essential services directly to the community, the Public Defender's Office aims to raise awareness and create a supportive environment for women's rights, reinforcing their role in society and promoting legal knowledge within the local population.
