The Public Defender's Office in the Federal District is celebrating International Women's Month by organizing a special initiative called the Day of Women, taking place on Tuesday, March 3. This event is set to run from 8 AM to 2 PM at the institution's headquarters in the Northern Commercial Sector. In an effort to address social and gender inequality, the office will distribute one ton of food and provide a variety of services, including specialized legal assistance, DNA testing, medical consultations, document issuance, and professional guidance.
In addition to legal and health services, the event features performances by the Brasília Music School (EMB) and the distribution of 50 tickets for Cine Brasília, alongside the Women's Bazaar. Health services include examinations, vaccinations, and dental care. The program also emphasizes wellness and self-esteem with hair care sessions, distribution of oral hygiene kits, and psychological support. This multifaceted approach aims to enhance the lives of women by providing essential services and fostering a supportive community environment.
Overall, this initiative not only highlights the commitment of the Public Defender's Office to social justice but also serves as a dynamic platform for empowering women in the community. By offering a range of services and activities, they aim to combat gender disparities and promote well-being among women, underscoring the importance of solidarity and collective action in striving for equality.
