Duksung Women's University held a ceremony on April 4 to acknowledge recent donations and scholarships benefiting its students.
On April 4, Duksung Women's University, under the leadership of President Min Jae-hong, hosted a fundraising ceremony and scholarship awarding event at the main building. The university's development fund team reported a surge in donations, notably from alumni like Lim Young-ja, who contributed 100 million Korean won to the comprehensive development fund. The influx of support from businesses, professors, and graduates has continued in 2026, demonstrating a strong commitment to student financing and educational development.
During the ceremony, alumni such as Yoon Han-young, who donated 15 million won in scholarship funds, expressed the joy of giving back to future students, remembering the financial support they received during their own studies. Professor Nam Yun-shin, upon retirement, rounded up contributions from students and graduates to donate 10 million won for scholarships, emphasizing the importance of creating a cycle of support among current and former students.
President Min Jae-hong expressed gratitude for the growing trend of donations, particularly towards scholarships, recognizing that such contributions allow students to focus on their studies without financial worry.
