Kaziuko Fair in Vilnius this weekend: Traffic restrictions will be in place from Thursday morning
Traffic in certain areas of Vilnius will be restricted in conjunction with the Kaziuko Fair this weekend.
The Kaziuko Fair is set to take place in Vilnius, leading to significant traffic restrictions in the city starting Thursday morning. From 9 AM on Thursday until 4 AM on the following Monday, vehicle access will be prohibited on Gedimino Prospekt from Šventaragio to Vilniaus Street, with exemptions made for fair-related transport.
Additionally, from March 5 at 8 PM to March 9 at 4 AM, driving will be banned on various streets including Gedimino Prospekt and others in the nearby area. This is part of the city's efforts to manage traffic and ensure pedestrian safety in anticipation of the expected crowds during the fair.
As part of the traffic management plan, parking will also be restricted in several locations, such as L. Stuokos-Gucevičiaus Street and sections of Liejyklos Street, starting on March 5 from 9 AM until March 9 at 6 AM. These measures highlight the city's commitment to facilitating a successful event while minimizing disruption to local traffic.
