Nigerian Senator Olubiyi Fadeyi, representing the Osun Central Senatorial District, has announced that he has secured presidential approval for a significant infrastructure project. This project entails the construction of a five-kilometre access road intended to improve healthcare access and enhance connectivity in various rural areas of his constituency. This announcement was made via a statement from his Special Adviser on Digital Media and Publicity.

A key feature of this project is a one-kilometre section of the road that will provide direct access to the Federal University of Health Sciences Teaching Hospital located in Ila-Orangun. This hospital is pivotal for residents not only from Osun state but also from the neighboring regions. The senator emphasized that poor road access has been a major hindrance to patients and medical staff, underlining the urgency and importance of this infrastructure development to alleviate these challenges.

The remaining four kilometres of the road will link other parts of the district, thereby fostering improved accessibility for the local communities.
