The literary anthology titled ‘Do afeto, a carne’ is set for launch in Petrolina, Pernambuco, on the evening of Thursday, May 5. This collection is significant as it weaves together the personal memories, affections, and experiences of various voices from the LGBTQIAPN+ community in the São Francisco Valley, transforming individual stories into a collective narrative. This raises awareness and celebrates LGBTQIAPN+ identities and experiences in a region often overlooked in mainstream discourse.
The anthology includes contributions from several notable authors, such as Ana Carolina, Brenda Mércia, Carine Buriti, and others, emphasizing the richness and diversity of LGBTQIAPN+ literature. The work emerged from a Creative Writing course aimed at the LGBTQIAPN+ audience, highlighting the importance of artistic expression and storytelling among marginalized communities.
