The second edition of the Humanid'artes project aims to engage public school students in Petrolina, located in the Sertão region of Pernambuco, Brazil, through activities that promote human rights, citizenship, and social representation. This program will include lectures, discussion rounds, and musical performances, all designed to encourage thoughtful dialogue and reflection among students about important societal issues.

Initiated by artist André Pereli, the project employs art as a medium to explore various themes such as equality, freedom, justice, cultural identity, and northeastern Latinidad. By using creative expressions to tackle these subjects, the initiative seeks to foster a deeper understanding of social dynamics and the importance of cultivating human rights, particularly in a region that faces unique challenges.

The project operates free of charge, supported by the Aldir Blanc National Policy through the Culture Secretary of Petrolina. It aligns with principles from the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the 2030 Agenda, which emphasizes sustainable actions and the promotion of human dignity. This new phase of the project demonstrates a commitment to inclusivity and education, empowering the youth of Vale do São Francisco to actively engage in discussions of their rights and responsibilities within society.
