A serious collision occurred in Bahia, Brazil, between an ambulance operated by the Ibirapitanga municipality and a truck, leading to three individuals being injured. The ambulance was reportedly returning from a surgical review with a patient when it was rear-ended by the truck. Among those in the ambulance were the driver and a companion, the patient's wife, who sustained severe injuries and was transported to the Regional Hospital Costa do Cacau in Ilheus. The ambulance driver appeared lucid and had no apparent injuries, although he was also taken for medical evaluation. Fortunately, the patient in transit did not suffer serious consequences from the accident, significantly mitigating the potential severity of the situation.

Authorities from the municipality reported that there were two individuals in the truck who also suffered injuries and were similarly taken to a hospital for treatment.
